JEE Main 2027 Session 1 (January) Important Dates

The National Testing Agency (NTA) conducts Session 1 of JEE Main in the last week of January. Candidates who intend to secure early admission percentile ranks or reduce pressure for Class 12 board examinations prioritize Session 1. JEE Main 2027 Session 2 (April) Important Dates

Session 2 provides candidates an opportunity to improve their NTA Score after completing their Class 12 board exams. Candidates who did not appear in Session 1 can register fresh for Session 2 by following the step-by-step JEE Main registration guide. Gate Closing Warning: NTA prohibits candidate entry into the exam hall after 08:30 AM (Shift 1) and 02:30 PM (Shift 2). Arrive early to complete biometric and Aadhaar verification smoothly.

JEE Main 2027 Session 1 will be held tentatively between January 20 and January 30, 2027. Session 2 is expected to take place between April 01 and April 10, 2027.
JEE Main is held in two shifts: Morning Shift (Shift 1) from 09:00 AM to 12:00 PM, and Afternoon Shift (Shift 2) from 03:00 PM to 06:00 PM. Gate closing times are 08:30 AM and 02:30 PM respectively.
Yes. Candidates can register for Session 1 and Session 2 together when registration opens in November 2026, or they can register separately for Session 2 when its portal opens in February 2027.
